WHY

Excessive waste has become a defining issue of today’s consumer culture, especially in the furniture industry.
Solid wood pieces are thrown away,
fast-furniture floods the market, and
second-hand platforms are filled with items that lack authenticity and longevity.
This cycle fuels mass production, mass disposal, and an ever-growing environmental impact.

My work at Studio Jojola aims to offer an alternative to disposable design: pieces that are intentional, long-lasting, and grounded in the principles of circularity.

By focusing on upcycling and responsible material use across my entire practice, I reduce the footprint of what I create while offering objects that carry both character and purpose. It’s my way of shaping a more sustainable future, one piece at a time.
